What is MT4? MT4 is one of the most popular trading software platforms used in Forex. EdsForex.com EA's can be installed on to MT4 to place trades for you so you don't have to sit in front of your computer all day. MT4 is free software. MT4 stands for MetaTrader 4. Most brokers have a copy you can download, but be sure to download the version of MT4 that comes with your broker if you plan on opening a live account with that broker. Other than that, if you are just using MT4 for demo purposes so you can practice trading with fake money, then you can download several MT4 platforms from various brokers. All MT4's are the same except for the price feed and the spread on currency pairs which vary from broker to broker. Within MT4 you can place orders and trade several different currency pairs. Several indicators are included with MT4, and they can sometimes help you make trading decisions. Within MT4 you will also find the Strategy Tester which you can use to test the settings in my EA's before going live.
